ICA reviews every detail of your submission. Missing documents, inconsistencies, or poorly translated records are the most common reasons for rejection. The integrity of your documentation is as consequential as the merits of your application itself.
Singapore offers multiple immigration routes, such as PTS (Professionals/Technical Personnel and Skilled Workers Scheme)-PR, GIP, Family Ties, and more. Applying under the wrong scheme, or before your profile is ready, often leads to rejection regardless of your qualifications.
ICA assesses family ties to Singaporeans, family profile, economic and social contributions, as well as your commitment to sinking roots. With a clear narrative and a well-structured case, we can improve the odds of getting an approval.
At this level, immigration planning requires legal expertise, strategic judgment, and meticulous planning.
Our approach to every immigration matter.
Every application we handle is built on a thorough assessment of your economic and social contributions, family profile, family ties to Singaporeans, as well as your commitment to sinking roots.
Each immigration route has different criteria, timelines, and strategic considerations. We assess your eligibility across all available options and advise on the strongest path forward before you commit to an application.
From documentation through to submission, we manage every aspect of your case with precision and care. We take the time to understand what matters most and provide clear, thoughtful guidance to help you navigate complexity with confidence.

Founded in 1994, SMTP is a Singapore-based private client law firm with over 30 years of experience advising entrepreneurs, family office principals, and high-net-worth individuals. The firm focuses on immigration, family office and corporate services, real estate and conveyancing, and family legacy planning. Eligibility depends on your pass type, employment history, family ties, and economic contributions, amongst others. The most common routes are via the PTS (Professionals/Technical Personnel and Skilled Workers Scheme)-PR track or the Global Investor Programme. Our lawyers can assess your profile in a consultation.
The GIP is a fast-track pathway for entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals to obtain Singapore PR by investment. Potential applicants must meet the qualifying prerequisites before they are eligible to consider the three investment options under GIP. SMTP has represented a significant number of GIP applicants over the years, including Forbes lists clients from around the region.
Processing times vary, but PTS (Professionals/Technical Personnel and Skilled Workers Scheme)-PR applications typically take 6 months. GIP applications may take up to 12 months from submission. A well-prepared application reduces the risk of delays or rejection.
